Dad Day
So today was father’s day. I was forced to work but that was ok, during my break time, I was able to stumble upon a gift that would suit my dad’s likings. A pen that cost half of my paycheck but would gain the deserved attention for the behalf. Later during the day, after finally finishing up, I headed over to my dad’s house. It’s been months since I last saw him but boy, he has not changed a bit, in a positive way. It was great to finally have the time to see him before father’s day had ended, after having small conversations, he had brought back some memoirs, advice and of course, love. Even though, we don’t have that father-to-son bond, I still find that deep connection of love that we will always have. I should always remind myself how much I am like him, that he puts his friends, companions and family before him. I just hope I don’t fail his expectations, I know he wants me to be happy but I got to work for it. So not now, but soon
Hopefully one day, my dad will feel proud to have me as his son. Ultimately every dad’s dream.
