Regrets and Consideration.
So I just came back from UCI and it just made me realize how much I regret going to a trade school. Not saying a trade school is not worth it or anything but it would be a great feeling going to a UC school. So anyways, somehow I ended up going to Irvine to go meet up a friend to go study and than later decided to meet up with my other friend at UCI. After a few mins walking around, I already had fell in love with the enviornment and the campus. The location was beautiful where you see fresh green grass, big and modern apartments & dorms and student’s taking a stroll on several pathways.
I wish my dad or mom had put a bigger impact on my school and career choices back in high school, I don’t blame them but it was just difficult living with divorced parents who had different views of where I should have gone. I honestly don’t know why I chose the school I go to, but I felt as it was an escape route to an easier get-a-way. Luckily I didn’t go to Art Institute of Orange County even tho my passion for art meant alot to me in high school, nor did I try hard enough to apply to a top of the line art school, Art Center. It just made me realize how difficult it be to pursue an art career where raw talent was a requirement.
So looking back from all the mistakes i’ve done in school had totally made me regret what I’ve done. If only I had an extra push to study and worked harder and actually put the time to apply to a cal state or a UC school instead of focusing on one opportunity would have made a difference for me today. Even though I feel like it is too late, that I am also getting old made me realize I still have plenty of time to make it because you live once and make the best out of it. I’m going to go for it, though I need to narrow down which school and program that I am particular interested in and want to be satisify with it, so far UCI’s health science is a consideration but we’ll see..
